Lofton was supposed to go on the Jamaica mission trip in 2020, but Covid shut down the world, so the trip was cancelled. Fortunately, this year, his senior year, the trip reconvened, and he got to go. Not only did Lofton go, but Phillip got to go because one student backed out, and they had another spot. They had a great time together and made memories. Most importantly, they grew closer to God, and they both said they were changed dramatically from the experience. I am sure that seeing how others live makes you feel so blessed and makes you feel so much compassion for others. While on the trip, their main objective was to build a house, and I think they did so in record time.
