Mongo- the hit of the party
Landon liked the hayride

Our friends the Burkeys kicked off our Halloween events the weekend before Halloween. It was a great way to get things started. The boys enjoyed decorating pumpkins, playing outside with friends, playing the Wii, eating good food (I liked this part too), and riding on the hayride. You can see from the pics what Levi enjoyed doing! (The first couple of pics were actually taken at the end of the party when Levi woke up!)
When we got home, the boys and I talked about what fun they had, and I talked to Lofton about the hayride, which he got scared on. Brittany's dad stopped the hayride to tell the kids he saw something big and hairy in the woods and thought we should turn around. A few minutes after he got back in truck and took off, Becky looked at Lofton who had tears in his eyes. He jumped in her lap for the ride home. I explained to him that Mr. Randy was joking, and he said, "Well, why didn't he say he saw a ghost, a witch, or a skeleton? Why did he say something hairy? I thought a bull was gonna come out of the woods. "

Fall Fun

Summer has always been my favorite season, but the older I get, the more I love fall. It is perfect weather for playing outside; we have had some gorgeous fall days lately, and we've enjoyed every minute. We've taken a lot of walks on the greenway and played in the creek; we've raked leaves and jumped in them, and we've taken advantage of the icecream man since he won't be coming around much longer! (I think we've gotten icecream about every day that he's come by lately.:)

Movie Night

The boys love family movie night, and this past Friday, Levi got in on the fun. It was Levi's first official movie night; we watched a Scooby Doo movie in honor of Halloween and ate popcorn with M&M's in in, which I think is the boys' favorite part of movie night.

There's No Bones About It...

Fall Break!

Lofton's fall break was last week, and we headed to Mimi and Pop Pop's in West Virginia for a few days; it was Levi's first road trip. The trip was fortunately uneventful especially since I was solo; the boys were great in the car. While at Mimi and Pop Pop's I went to my reunion and visited with family. The boys just enjoyed being at my parents and playing with all of the neighborhood kids. They played in the woods and had a lemonade stand. They made $20 at their stand (they hit up all of the construction workers and Mimi). Lofton and Zach were hilarious. Zach had the bright idea to make a sign for their bodies and to walk up and down the street to drum up business. Lofton kept screaming, "Fresh Lemonade." Anyways, it was a lot of fun.

When we got home, we took Levi to Chuck E Cheese for his first time. Lofton won over 150 tickets in a machine; he was thrilled. I told him I need to take him to Vegas. However, once he won, he couldn't quit playing; he hit 75 tickets twice and 25 once, and then he lost his lucky streak. We also spent 4 hours one day at the park with Jackson. The boys had a blast playing in the sand volley ball court, but I didn't have a blast cleaning up all the sand! ha ha
It was a relaxing fall break, and I miss Lofton already; he went back to school today.
