Winter Retreat

Our youth group went on a retreat in March 2023 with Clarksville Highway Church of Christ. The theme was snow much more. Levi had a good time. It had been too long since they as a group had done much together. Landon only got to go up for a day with Phillip because he had wrestling this weekend of the retreat.

Lofton's Devo Talk

I am so very proud of Lofton for volunteering to speak to the entire student body during devo. He spoke about not worrying about what the world thinks of us. He told everyone the funny story of me texting him and Emma Keith to let him have it for leaving so much of his laundry on the floor. He said I was so worried about what Emma would think. He is so right; we shouldn't worry so much about what other people think of us.

Cap n Gown Day

Goodpasture has a tradition that they call cap n gown day. They pass out the cap n gowns to the seniors, and they walk the halls while all of the students cheer for them. Then they go out to the lawn for pictures and then on to lunch with friends. It is a special time and gives them the opportunity to take pictures with friends because graduation day is so busy. Lofton and his buddies went to eat at Twin Peaks after pictures and then came back for practices. It is hard to believe that his senior year is almost over.

Tech Visit

I took a personal day in February and went on a college visit with Lofton and Reese.  I met them for lunch in Cookeville and then we went to Tech for their tour.  I had a great time walking around with them. They are so much fun; they make everything fun. I left after the tour, and they spent the night in a hotel and went to the college campus day the next day. I love their friendship.  I would be excited for them to go to college together.  While this time in life is somewhat sad that my baby is growing up;
 I am so very excited for him.

Football Banquet

Lofton walked away with several awards during his football banquet.  He was chosen as one of the four team captains by his teammates and one for making the region team. Senior year is special.  Football season was so much fun. I hate that it's over, but I am so thankful for all the sport taught him. I am also thankful for the friendships he made with his teammates.
