Sweet Seventeen

Lofton Roger McConnell, you are so loved.  We are so very proud of you and the young man that you have become.  You have always had such a big heart for others, and you still do.  At seventeen, you especially have a big heart for little kids; you are so great with them. Many people have complimented you on how good you are with young kids and how attentive you are.  You are an old soul when it comes to music.  Your taste ranges from Kitty Wells to Green Day.  You love football and wrestling, and we love to watch you do both.  You are great at math and science.  More than one teacher has told us you understand numbers and have a unique math brain.  You are becoming more involved in things at school such as Beta Club and GSA.  You love to hunt and fish.  You do what is right, and you are true to who you are.  We love you.

For your seventeenth birthday, you once again didn't really want to do anything because you don't love to be the center of attention. But, we weren't about to do nothing.  Pop Pop took you to golf, and we all went to Mexican.  I made strawberry dream cake again because that is one of your favorites.  Dad made you a big breakfast, and Jude and Gabe came over too to swim and hang out.

Vanderbilt Baseball

After 2020 Covid mess, we are so blessed to be able to cater parties. The boys love to work for Phillip- or maybe they love the money more.  They worked the inner city fish fry in May, the Vanderbilt baseball championship, Vanderbilt's homecoming.
