Landon's Party

We celebrated Landon's birthday at Drake's Creek Putt Putt Course. When we arrived at the party, Landon got out of the car and said, "Happy Birthday, Landon!" He was so excited, and as his family and friends started to arrive, he got even more excited. All of the kids and Aunt April had a good time playing putt-putt; Quinn and Lofton got a hole in one and got one of Phillip's tournament prizes!

After a round of golf, we all ate pizza and cake. Mimi made the cake; it was yummy. Landon got some great presents. His favorite I think is his Luigi costume; the minute he opened it, he wanted to put it on. He also got some money and gift cards so we can enjoy his favorite places- Monkey Joes and Chuck E Cheese. He racked up with some great new toys and a cute monster truck shirt that Amy made. Thanks to all who helped celebrate Landon's third birthday; he had a great time.

Lofton Can Ride His Bike

Lofton started learning to ride his bike Wednesday afternoon at the Griffins. Ella let him use her bike, and she helped him ride in their yard. Then Thursday evening, he mastered riding it in our yard by himself. So, he told me to pick him up from school early on Friday so he could learn how to ride in the street before Mimi and Pop Pop got to our house. We came home Friday, and he rode in the yard a few times before deciding he was ready to hit the streets! He wouldn't let me walk behind him; he was confident that he could do it, and he did! Way to go, Lofton; we're proud of you.

Landon is 3!

It is hard to believe that Landon turns three tomorrow, April 18th! The past three years have flown by. He is such a sweet boy.

Landon at 3 years you...
-are obsessed with the color green.
-love your big brother Lofton and miss him terribly when you all aren't together.
-can count to twenty.
-love to watch Lofton play the Wii, and you are pretty good on the DS.
-talk about God on a daily basis, and you learn your memory verses for church very quickly.
-use the word actually a lot, and you use it correctly.
-wake me up several times a night to put your blankets on you because you are "trying to sleep" or so you tell me.
-bang your head on the bed to "soothe" yourself to sleep.
-are our little Linus; you love your blankets/ "blaniks", and like your momma, they have to be neatly on you.
-are excited to be a big brother, and you are more excited that you're going to have a new little brother who you want to name Diego "well, Luigi actually!"
-are still a picky eater, but when it comes to chocolate you'd eat about anything.

-are a precious little boy, and we love you very much!

Hanging Lakeside and Poolside

Last Sunday the boys got to hang out with their cousin Hayden at Aunt He He's new house on the lake. He He has a pool, too, and the boys surprisingly froze to death in it, but it didn't stop them. We had a great time spending time with family, and they can't wait to go back!

Out of the Mouths of Babes!

Today on the way home from school, Lofton asks me, "Mom, if the baby is so small right now, how come your belly is getting so big?"
I'd like to know the same thing!

By the way, he isn't so much a baby anymore! Sunday, he insisted that Phillip spike his hair like "Luke Skywalker." You know your children well boys are growing up when they have an opinion on how they look and what they wear!

Easter

The boys woke bright and early, and you would've thought it was Christmas morning. Lofton was so excited; I barely had time to grab my camera. The Easter bunny hid their baskets behind the shower curtain, but it didn't take long for Lofton to find them. The bunny brought lots of Mario stuff, and both boys couldn't have been happier.

After church the Griffins came over for dinner, which consisted of shrimp, chicken, and lamb and all the trimmings. The kids ate lamb, but they thought it was steak; Amy and I passed since we knew what it was. After dinner, the kids enjoyed their fifth and final egg hunt (for us atleast), and Lofton found the golden egg. They also enjoyed playing outside; it was beautiful. We spent all day outside! Happy Easter, everyone!

Cousins!

Uncle Charles, Aunt Jennifer, Maggie, and McKenna came over Friday night. The cousins had a great time playing together and hunting eggs! It is crazy how much they all look alike, and it proves that blonde hair does run in the family even if Phillip and I neither one have it! :)

Easter Parties

Lofton and Landon both enjoyed their class Easter parties this week. Landon's was Thursday; Lofton's was Friday. Landon's class celebrated with an egg hunt and "Hoppy Meals". Lofton's class worked on a craft, hunted eggs, and feasted on pizza. Both boys came home from their parties with lots of candy and goodies.
