Homecoming 2020

When school started, there was talk that we wouldn't carry on our tradition of floats, but our school has been committed to having as much of a normal year as we possibly can, so though there were some changes we did it.  This was Lofton's first year to participate in float building. I drug him there, but once he was there, I think he had fun though he and Seth disappeared for awhile and went to eat, but spending time with friends making memories is what it's all about.  And it literally rained on our parade, but fortunately, it was pretty warm outside.  My cross country team participated in the parade- we were the Dream Team- Forest Gump, Flash, Sonic the Hedgehog, Speedy Gonzales, Lightening McQueen, Flo Jo, Dash, a member of McFarland, Usane Bolt, and Carl Lewis.  We had fun.

Unfortunately, the game got rained out.

Fall Break Fun 2020

For fall break, we had a staycation and enjoyed the warm days.  We went to the park and the skate park, and Levi and I went to Honeysuckle Hill one day.  We got to spend some time with Teague and Julie and went to the trampoline park twice.  It is always good to slow down and take a break from school before life gets hectic with the holidays.

Friday Night Lights 2020

Neon Day- Beat Lipscomb

The Cougars had a fantastic season.  They went 9-3 in the regular season and won two post season games.  They even held their own against CPA in the game before state.  I love Friday Night LIghts, and when your son plays, it makes it that much more special.  Lofton gives his all on the football team and earned a starting position after about 3 games.  He started every game after that.  He plays very aggressively and works so hard. He seems to really love football.  I am so proud of him for the dedication and drive he shows.  I am so thrilled that he got to have his season.  When the year started, I feared that Covid would ruin it, but thankfully, his coach and our admin was determined for our boys to play.
