Celebrate Good Times at the Beach

Getting to go to the beach is enough reason to celebrate, but this year while we were at the beach, we celebrated Lofton's birthday, Father's Day, and Phillip's birthday.  For Father's Day, we ate at Pompano Joe's after church.  Lofton, our fisherman, wanted to go deep sea fishing for his birthday, so he and Phillip did that, and then I took Lofton to Lids to pick out a new hat, and Lofton chose to eat at Roberto's Pizza at the wharf and then we went back to our room for cake and ice-cream.  For Phillip's birthday, it rained, so we went to Bass Pro Shop and to eat at Stinky's.  Phillip loves oysters, so he didn't mind the rain.  After lunch, we joined the rest of Destin at the movies to see Cars 3.  It was really cute.  Hurricane Cindy cut our trip short by a day; we were having to leave early anyway to get home for baseball, but when we woke up on Wednesday to another day of rain and closed beaches, we called it a trip.  We were blessed enough to have two gorgeous days on the beach and one kinda overcast day.  I'm just glad the boys got a fishing trip in since that's what Lofton really wanted for his 13th birthday.  I am glad that we got to go even just for a few days because the years are short- obviously, our little baby is 13 now, and we need to make these memories and spend time together while we have it.
