Snow Day

On Wednesday, we woke up to a snow day, but there was not any snow on the ground, nor was there much ice, but go figure this is Tennessee. I am not complaining this kind of weather is a teacher's dream; you get a day off, and you can still get out and about. But, before 8:30 am, it actually started to flurry, and we got a little accumulation. It was actually enough to play in. It was dreadfully cold, so Lofton and his friends (Brett, Reece, & Mallory Boyd) did not play long. After about 20 minutes, we went inside school to put together Valentine balloon orders, a fundraiser Becky and I do for prom. The kids had as much fun inside as outside; they loved playing in the lockers, watching a movie on the big screen, and running crazy around the halls. Landon even forwent his morning nap because he was enjoying the chaos.
Before going home for the day, the kids ventured out one more time with Caleb Walker, Shawn and Reece McAfee. I am glad that they got their fill because I am afraid it may be the last snow of the season.
