Memphis

Julie and I decided to take a boys' trip.  We loaded up her Mercedes and took off for Memphis to stay at the Bass Pro hotel, which we felt like was very much for boys.  However, besides the hotel, there isn't a ton to do in Memphis other than Graceland.  I'd never been though, and we decided if you live in Tennessee, you have to go to Graceland, so we did.  I thought i was interesting.  Elvis even had the same dishes as my apple ones that my Granny owned.  We even ventured down to Beale Street.  We took the hotel shuttle with Tony/ Jeffrey.  We ate and listened to music and left before it got too crazy though we did about have a heart attack when a guy got out of a car, threw up his hoodie, put on a mask and stuck his hand in his hoodie pocket and started walking towards us.  I thought we were gonna get shot, but he just walked past us.  Then Jeffrey came to our rescue, and took us to see the Lorraine Motel where King was shot.  Julie and I got out and got a closer look and worried after that maybe we shouldn't have left kids in van with Jeffrey.  It was fun to be with Julie and the kids.  I don't see her near enough, so it was nice to be together for a few days.
