A Taste of the Program

Here is a quick video of Lofton's program; however, I quit filming before he got really loud! Make sure to turn off the music on my play list if you want to watch this!

Preschool Winter Program

Lofton getting himself ready and trying to look "cool"

The Pre-K classes had their winter program tonight. When I picked Lofton up from school, he was really excited about the program. As we were getting ready, I told him that I still needed to comb his hair, and he said, "Let me do it; I want to look cool; you don't know how to make me look cool." Well, I proceeded to watch him attempt to stick his hair up; I guess it is time for a buzz/big boy cut, but I just can't give in. I love his "yellow" hair!

At the program, Lofton got to hold the Bible during the pledge to the Bible, and he sang his heart out. Afterwards, we got to look at some of his winter art work, and we got to eat the cookies that he had been longing for since I picked him up for school.

It was a fun night, and the kids did great. I must admit it was rather weird listening to songs about snowmen and winter wonderlands when it was about 65 degrees outside.

Happy Birthday, April

We celebrated April's birthday this Wednesday. Phillip cooked dinner of course, and Roanna brought a cake; all Lofton, Landon, and I did was enjoy the party and especially the cake. Happy birthday, Aunt April!

We've Got Mud on Our Face

Today, it was once again unseasonably warm, so although, it was rather wet outside, we took advantage of it and played outside. Lofton found a new favorite place to play which basically consists of rocks, mud, sticks, and muddy water. I didn't have my camera with me, but when we got home, I took some pictures of them!

Visit with Mimi and Pop Pop

When I told Lofton on Monday of last week that Mimi and Pop Pop were coming on Thursday, I did not realize that he would ask me daily if they would be here when he woke up. He was so excited to see them because we hadn't seen them since the week before Christmas. We had a great weekend. The boys love playing with my parents. My dad created an Indiana Jones game for Lofton with couch pillows and a punching bag. Lofton couldn't get enough. We were all sad to see them leave. I have promised Lofton that we will go there in a few weeks, and he is thrilled, but he told me, "But, it's so far away." He has a point, but the drive will be worth it because we all love hanging out with Mimi and Pop Pop!

Ready to Pottytrain

Wow! Landon is insisting on growing up quickly. As you know, he is climbing out of his crib, which means we are about to get him a "big boy" bed. Now lately, he is insisting on using the potty. He has been telling us that he has to pee, and he'll run in the bathroom, but he usually has already peed. Then, the other day, he pointed us to Lofton's room to get underwear out of the drawer. So, we gave in and put a pair on him for a couple of hours, which he kept dry by the way. Phillip also pulled out the potty chair, which I hate by the way, but Landon thought it was the greatest thing ever. I know he is far from being potty trained, but he is very interested in it, and it just enforces to me that he is growing up faster than I'd like!
