It has been said that the best thing about being a teacher is June, July, and August, but snow days are pretty good too. This year we had about two weeks off for snow. A couple of those days the roads were not even bad, and we went to see the new Star Wars movie. However, I think these days were the calm before the storm as we finally did get an actual foot of snow. We of course enjoyed it but I can't believe I am saying this, but I was glad to see it go and not come back because it got so bad that we even lost electric one night.
For the first time since I've lived in Tennessee, we actually got snow. Not just a dusting of snow on the ground, but we actually got like a foot of snow. We also got out of school for about two weeks. We enjoyed every minute of it. We played in it A LOT, and we had friends over, and even one night we lost electric and cooked hot dogs in the fire place. Snow days are the best days.
