Christmas Day

Christmas is always filled with so much anticipation. The boys are so eager for weeks before to get their gifts, but this year, I think Phillip and I were the ones who were most eager. We had bought the boys a dog 3 weeks before Christmas, so the anticipation was killing us. When the time finally came, we wrapped a box and a lid and put Marley in it. We brought him in and told the boys that we'd forgotten to give them their gift from us. THeir faces lit up at the thought of opening another gift that I'd have thought they couldn't be any more excited until they pulled teh lid off of the box to find Marley. Lofton was so excited that he couldn't stop laughing. It was the sweetest most magical moment ever. We spent the morning eating and playing with the dog; they didn't play with any of their toys. Then we went to Aunt He He's and Uncle Chad's for dinner and more presents. But the best present of all was spending the day with our family and the newest member of our family- Marley!
