Vandy Game
Lofton loves to go to work with Phillip. He thinks it's great to make pancakes for the players. So, he went with Phillip New Year's Eve day and though it was kinda slow and not many players came in, he got to see Jake Locker. He and Phillip also went to the Music City Bowl to cheer on Vandy. Lofton is now a big Vandy fan because of it.
Christmas Day
Christmas is always filled with so much anticipation. The boys are so eager for weeks before to get their gifts, but this year, I think Phillip and I were the ones who were most eager. We had bought the boys a dog 3 weeks before Christmas, so the anticipation was killing us.
When the time finally came, we wrapped a box and a lid and put Marley in it. We brought him in and told the boys that we'd forgotten to give them their gift from us. THeir faces lit up at the thought of opening another gift that I'd have thought they couldn't be any more excited until they pulled teh lid off of the box to find Marley. Lofton was so excited that he couldn't stop laughing. It was the sweetest most magical moment ever.
We spent the morning eating and playing with the dog; they didn't play with any of their toys. Then we went to Aunt He He's and Uncle Chad's for dinner and more presents. But the best present of all was spending the day with our family and the newest member of our family- Marley!

Twas the Night Before Christmas
Christmas Eve is by far my favorite! This year I had to finish up some last minute shopping while my mom and dad played with the kids OUTSIDE! It was a great 55 degree day. Mom and I also took a walk, and unfortunately, I spent the rest of the afternoon wrapping since I hadn't done a bit of it.
Phillip of course cooked a fabulous meal. Prime Rib!!! After dinner, the boys opened gifts from Mimi and Pop Pop! Then the night was topped off with tracking Santa, watching A Christmas Story, putting out reindeer dust (Landon threw the entire bag on ground unopened!!), setting out cookies and milk for Santa ,reading The Night Before Christmas, and then for me more wrapping.
