He's on Two Wheels

Landon learned to ride his bike today! He asked me to take his training wheels off a few weeks ago, and every now and then he'd jump on it and balance himself and occasionally try to ride it in the grass. Then this week, he decided to jump on and go for it. I told him that Mimi (my mom) had a dream when she was little that she could ride a bike and that she woke up the next day and started riding her bike. So, I teased him that he must have dreamed last night that he could do it cause today he just jumped on and went for it. He was so proud and rode all night.

July 4th

We've been spending the 4th with the same group of friends for at least the past 6 years. Phillip and I used to host it and have our redneck water park in the front yard before the Griffins got a pool. And, if my computer hadn't crashed and made me lose 8 years worth of pics, I'd put some up here for memories' sake. :) So, for July 4th, 2012 we went to the Griffins to celebrate with our good friends. This is the 3rd year that Jonathan and Amy have also gotten a water slide. And Joni and Debbie both commented that the slide looked smaller, and though I think it might actually have been, I think it may be cause our kids have just gotten bigger. Once again, we had lots of fun and ate lots of food.

Happy 8th Birthday, Lofton

For Lofton's 8th birthday, we celebrated with a baseball party at the park. He lives for baseball; it's all he wants to do, so he was so excited to play baseball with his buddies. We also played water balloon baseball; the kids loved it. Then on his actual birthday, we went to Chuck E Cheese, had some friends over for dinner, and then had his friends Justin and Jude spend the night.

 ~love outdoors. Like daddy, you like to hunt, fish, and camp, and you now love shooting your air soft gun.
~love the History channel and watching shows about fishing, hunting, animals etc...
~are so sociable.
~are very brave. You gave a speech at your Uncle Dustin's wedding this year!

All in all, you are just so grown up. We love you very much, sweet boy!
