When Lynn asked me to coach cross country five years ago, I told her that I would do it for one year. I was training for a half marathon, but I know nothing about cross country. I still don't know much, but I do love the kids. I love forming relationships with them outside of the classroom. I love my moments with John; he makes me laugh, and my John stories entertain us all. My team is growing because they love each other and have fun.

Landon's first golf season
When I was at media day, Carla Sircy told me they would love to see Landon join the golf team. I talked to the coach and he said it wasn't too late. I told Landon and Grant talked to him too. Before I knew it, Landon was on the team. He did well for his first year to even really ever play the sport. He got to play in several Varsity matches. He gets this honest. His great Uncle Billy would be so proud.
Levi is 12- August 19. 2022
For Levi's 12th birthday, Frank, Teague, and Heath came to Lofton's football game with us, which was also was back to school bash night. The boys had a great time playing at back to school bash; when they came to us at end of game, they were filthy; Teague couldn't even find his shoes. Then they spent the night and swam and played all day Saturday. We met Julie and Marilyn at Opry Mills and got Levi's Harry Potter Lego set that he wanted.
Levi at 12 is one smart cookie. He can put together a Lego set alone and so fast. He is very conscientious of his grades and words so hard. He loves to watch documentaries and to read. He soaks up knowledge. He calls himself a nerd, but he embraces it. He loves all things Marvel and Star Wars. He loves music. Lofton has had a huge influence on Levi's taste in music. Levi's favorite artists are Al Green and Bill Withers and Nirvana. He loves to be outside and to skateboard and to jump on the trampoline.
