Phillip's "Birthday Party"

The boys love to celebrate birthdays, and every time you tell them it is someone's birthday, they ask what he or she is doing for his/her party. Well, this year I decided I better actually do something for Phillip. So, we invited some of our friends to have dinner with us at Anchor High restaraunt on the lake. The kids loved it; they fed the fish everything that we didn't eat! Too bad Phillip escaped his party without a pic.

I am no officially afraid to blink! I can hardly believe that my baby boy is 7 years old.

Summertime!

We've been enjoying our summer so far despite the heat! When we aren't swimming, we've beat the heat by playing in the creek, waking up early to go to the park, and splashing in the fountains.

Karate Kids

Lofton has been wanting to take karate for about 2 years now, and we finally signed them both up for karate camp this summer. Both are enjoying it so much and learning so much as well. I love how it teaches discipline and respect, and the boys love learning how to fight! Landon is always telling his teacher, "That is how karate kid does it."

Baseball, Baseball, Baseball

Lofton's up to bat!

Landon hit it and is running to first!

He made it!

Running to second

Now, he is at second!

Getting some coaching from daddy

Stopping to say hi to Levi

With their team mom!

Landon isn't the only one who likes the snacks at the end of the game!

Baseball has taken up a lot of our time lately, but their tournament starts Monday, and if they loose the season will be over. It has been a lot of fun and so much more fun to watch than soccer. Landon has provided a lot of entertainment by sitting down on the field, throwing his hat over the fence, and even peeing in the outfield, but lately, he has started hitting the ball and has even made it as far as second base a few times. Lofton has done great, and he loves nothing more than to score; he even hit a homerun this season. This last week all the boys received a game ball, and Landon was so proud. I am kinda sad to see the season end but not enough to want to make it to All Stars! :)

Memorial Day Weekend

Phillip brought his dad's boat home Memorial Day weekend, and we took the boys out on the lake (all 3 boys)! It was a lot of work but fun. Levi hated the life jacket, but once the boat starting going, he zoned out and just enjoyed the breeze and hum of the boat; he fell asleep more than once. We were going to take it out again Memorial Day, but it was so much work that we just enjoyed fishing and swimming at the Harringtons!

Time Really Does Fly By

Julie and I went to Neely Scott's graduation party. I babysat Neely when I was a student at Lipscomb; Neely was two years old when I started keeping her and her brother Michael. Julie and I had a blast with those kids, and their mother Jennie was so good to us. She cooked us dinner and treated us like her own. It was nice to have some "family" in Nashville while we were in college. It was great seeing them though seeing them really made me feel old.

Last Day of Kindergarten

So, I am finally getting around to posting Lofton's last day of school pics. He had a fabulous year; we couldn't be happier. He was so proud of himself (as were we) that he didn't pull a card all year. I was proud of him for making an A on every spelling test- even though grades don't really count yet. He told me on his way to school the last week that he was going to miss Mrs. Jamie and that he didn't really want to grow up! My sentiments exactly; if I could keep him little, I sure would!!:)
