Country Roads Took Us Home

Last summer because I chaperoned the beach youth trip, I didn't get to spend any time at home.  I really miss this way we usually kick off our summers.  It was good to be home to eat my favorite things, to celebrate Granny's real birthday, to visit family, to take walks with mom and to just rest.  

 

Region Track Meet

 This is Lofton's third year to run track.  He really enjoys it.  He ran in the 4x2 and 4x4 relay.  He had a good time, and his cousin Maggie ran the same night, so we got to see her. 

End of the School Year Fun

December has nothing on May!  May is a busy time of year.  Wrapping up the school year is fun though.  This year we had several graduation parties that we attended.  We got to see Van at Reece's so that was a nice surprise.  We had a service day with Feed the Need to raise money for both our school and for Honduras.  Levi's grade always has an end of the year party- this year it was at Jake Purkey's.  

And, I always like my fourth period class, so we took a group pic.

Awards Days/ Jr. National Honor Society Induction

I am so proud of Lofton and Landon for both receiving a faculty award.  This award is chosen by the faculty and staff.  They look for students who carry out our school's mission, who influence other positively, who are respectful, and who do the right thing.  This award means more than any others.  Landon also was inducted into the Jr. National Honor Society this year.
