Read Across America

This nerdy English teacher loves Dr. Seuss week and loves to celebrate it.  We make "green eggs and ham" every year.

Cougars Win State

Our Cougars won state for the first time ever.  Phillip and I went to the game just the two of us and enjoyed lunch in Cookeville and then a trip to Sam's, and believe it or not, we went home to an empty house.  Lofton went to hang out with Jude and Ella and spent the night; Levi went to a church retreat with Sawyer, and Landon stayed with Aiden.

CYC Watch Party

The boys were so sad that our church didn't attend CYC this year- stupid Covid, or honestly more like stupid people who are going to use Covid as an excuse for as long as they possibly can.  Anyway, we had a day of watching it online and playing games.  It wasn't the same, but it was better than nothing.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Jones!

We love our neighbor, Larry Jones, so we, of course, had to celebrate him.  :)  His birthday is February 16th.

Valentine's

I love making the boys Valentine's, and I am so sad because this year is one of my last years to do class Valentine's.  I think they still do them in 5th and 6th (I hope).  I got a bit emotional because this year was the first year I only had to do one- for Levi.  Lofton has a real Valentine this year, and he went with Brycen Jones to Target and bought Caroline gifts, but they didn't get to get together Valentine weekend because of wrestling and the snow/ice that came that Sunday.  Caroline did come to play in the snow one day, so he gave her the gifts, but they didn't let me get a picture.  :(

SuperBowl Sunday

As always, we enjoyed Super Bowl with the Griffins.  Lofton first went to Caroline's for awhile then came over.   When he got there, the boys made a Tik Tok Super Bowl commercial.
