Cross Country

 

This year might have been the hardest season I have ever coached. We lost our sweet Janie Grace towards the end of the season. The last day of fall break, I got a frantic call from Jane Anne telling me that Janie Grace had gone for a run at Moss Wright Park and collapsed. I got in my car and got to the hospital as fast as I could. Unfortunately, a few days later, she had stroke and died. Unimaginable, indescribable pain. I am proud of our team for the strength they showed. They surrounded each other with love and support. We finished our season because we knew JG would want us to. I hope that we can all live and be a light like she was.
