Levi's Birthday

For Levi's 9th birthday, we celebrated with a pool party at our house with his school friends.  The weather was perfect- it usually rains on his bday.  Mimi and Pop Pop were here a few weeks before and took him shopping for a new bike.  We got him a motor bike and had cake on his actual bday.

Levi at 9, you are absolutely hilarious.  You say the funniest, wisest things for your age.  You keep us in stitches.  You are all boy.  You enjoy being outside and playing in the dirt and riding bikes and playing in the creek and at your tree house.  We love that you prefer outdoors to video games and screens.  You do enjoy your I pad time, but it doesn't consume you.

You are smart and are doing well in school.  You love the Lord as you proved weeks ago by being baptized and committing your life to HIm. You love your big brothers; you get so excited when they spend time with you.  Mr. Jones is your best friend on the planet.  I love that you love him so much.  You enjoy science and space, and you love making things with your own two hands.  You love music and know the words to about any song that comes on.  We are so proud of you, and we love you so very much.

1st Day of School- August 2019

Another year is upon us.  Levi is in third grade, and he has Mrs. Taylor whom he really wanted.  Landon is going into 6th grade, and Lofton is a freshman!  Lofton will be in my building across the hall most of the time from me.  When I was told the days are long but the years are short, I wish I had clung to that more. I can't believe my babies are so grown up.

The Old Has Gone...

For the past two years, Levi has asked to be baptized.  I worried because he is so young, but he is so wise and so adamant.   I asked him why he wants to be baptized, and he said that he believes that Jesus is the Son of God and that he wants to go to heaven.    My parents were in town, so it worked out well; dad baptized him on Sunday, August 4th.  It was so sweet.  We are blessed to have three boys who have given their lives to Christ. "Your greatest contribution to the kingdom of God may not be something you do but someone you raise.”

Camping

We enjoyed a weekend camping- it isn't the beach, but it is always relaxing to get away and just have nothing to do but to fish and swim and read and eat and ride bikes.  :)
