The Big 40!

Together with our friends, we celebrated Phillip's 40th at Barefoot Charlies and Phillip had his own special chair(aka a portable potty chair) thanks to our friend, Christy!

Lofton, at 10 years old you...

- love sports; baseball is your favorite at the moment though you enjoyed basketball this year!

-love Vanderbilt sports, and you were so excited that the Vandy boys won the College World Series.

-have braces!

-have started really liking hats

-still love crab rangoon, which ranks up there as one of your favorite foods.

-are adventurous and love to try new things.

-are competitive even at board games

-are a great student; you are very smart.

-are a terrific big brother. You are our peace maker.

-are generous! At the beach recently, Levi asked for two toys at Alvan's gift shop, and Daddy told him to pick one, and when he got upset, you offered to buy it for him.

-are getting more and more independent, and you want us to give you more and more responsibilities. You fished alone some at the beach on several mornings, and though it made me a nervous wreck, you did great!

-say wonderful prayers, and you know so much about the Bible.

In fact, you know a lot about a lot of stuff! You are a smart boy. We couldn't be prouder. We love you so very much! You are a joy; we are lucky to be your parents.

Happy 10th Birthday, Lofton

For Lofton's 10th Birthday, we had his party at Drakes Creek Activity Center because he wanted to play lazer tag. There is a large outdoor lazer tag there, and the boys all loved it; they had a blast. They also got to play a game of putt putt. It was a great day, and Carson even got to join in the fun because my cousin Marcie and the gang were visiting from WV. The only hitch at the party was the re-light candles that I accidentally bought!

On the day of his actual bday, we had Jude come over and play in the morning, and per tradition, he woke up to some presents on the kitchen table. Then we drove to Florida, and we stopped for Mexican for dinner, and he got to wear the "lice hat" while we sang to him! :)

Annual Crawfish Boil

We had our annual crawfish party this year and though the weather wasn't fabulous for tanning it was fine for swimming and for playing outside. Kids as always had a great time, and Phillip and I love hanging with our friends and relaxing for the entire day.
