Basketball Party

Lofton had a great 2nd season of basketball!  He did a great job defensively; he snagged several rebounds each game, and he scored 10 points one game!  We were so proud of him.   His coach is such a great guy.  He took the team to Incredible Daves to wrap up the season.

Lipscomb Game

Phillip and Lofton went to cheer on black and gold at the Vandy game so I took the other two yahoos to cheer on purple and gold with Julie and her crew at the Lipscomb game.  It was Star Wars night, so the kids had a great time; well, with the exception of Levi who was terrified of the characters.

Snow Such Luck

So, we have had no luck with snow this year, but we have taken advantage of the spring like weather.  It has been so nice to play outside at least a few days each week this winter.  We have enjoyed walking on the Greenway,  playing at the park, feeding the ducks, playing in the creek, and eating lunch outside at Sonic.  Of course, we'd love a day of sledding in the snow, but this momma isn't going to complain about the weather!

Super Bowl Sunday

Though Phillip LOVES to watch Super Bowl, he also loves to entertain! He loves having friends over, so he had a lot of our friends over to watch the game. Though I dreaded having 22 kids running around, it actually all went off without a hitch. The kids did great. They also enjoyed the game. They played Super Bowl squares with us, which helped them to stay focused, too. They also made signs and made up cheers and dances. At one point, the girls were doing a commercial break cheer for us and out of nowhere Lofton came and dropped a beat for us! It was hysterical and so cute. I love that he just gets into everything that's going on. He's so much like his momma, but he actually does get more into the game. :) I will admit I enjoyed the fourth quarter; I am a sucker for a close game.

100 Days of School

For Lofton's 100 day of 2nd grade, he was told to dress as a 100 year old man! Decorating a shirt with 100 mustaches when he was in kindergarten was way easier, and although Levi was a newborn, I didn't have as much going on as I did this year, so my creativity was nada! So, I made him a shirt that said, "Way Over the Hill", put baby powder in his hair, and gave him an eye glass piece. Not my best ideas, but I pulled it off!
