Florida Georgia Line
So, one of the singers of Florida Georgia Line moved to our home town, and one Sunday after church as we were on our way to lunch, "Cruise" came on the radio. I asked the boys what they would do if we ran in to the guy on day; I asked if Levi would sing to him. They laughed as we talked about how cool it would be to see him, and no joke, as we pulled in to Zaxby's the guy literally pulled in behind us. Well, Levi wouldn't sing to him nor would he get his picture made with him.
Valentine's
The boys had a great time at their school Valentine's parties, and Mimi and Pop Pop came Valentine's weekend, and Phillip and I ran in the hot chocolate run, which was Phillip's first race. We had fun together, but no amount of hot chocolate was worth running in the FREEZING weather that we ran in.
Big Boy Bed
Finally! Levi agreed to move from his crib to a big boy bed. Every time we would discuss it, he would just say, "No thanks or I'm good." He loves it though, and we re did his entire room, and he chose to do it in Spiderman. The only bad thing about the big boy bed is that I lie down with him at night and don't get out until I wake up hours later.
And, now that he has his own big boy room, he is entertaining in it. :) He has had a few tea parties, and Lofton has been a willing guest because Levi scores cookies and junk at odd times of day for his parties.
For the first time in about two years, we actually got some snow that we could play in. We had a couple of snow days, and we took advantage of them. The boys had a great time sledding, and Landon was quite the pro on the snowboard. I actually could've outlasted the boys in the cold, which is an accomplishment in itself; I think I was just dreading cleaning up the mess of wet clothes. :) The hot chocolate made it all worth it though.

Basketball 2014
Lofton's basketball team went undefeated this year! Lofton really enjoyed playing for Coach Phil, and Lofton did really well. He has really improved over the past two years, and he had a lot of fun.

Ringing in the New Year

We rang in the new year with good friends, good food, and good fun! Our friends the Nesbitts organized a trip to Dale Hollow Lake. We rented a very large cabin that housed all 22 of us, and we could've even had a few more. We left on New Year's Eve, and we certainly got a road trip. It only takes 2 and a half hours to get there, but we turned it in to about 8 hours with a stop to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, a hike at some falls, and lunch at the Abells' grandmother's house. When we got to the cabin, the kids could hardly wait to hop in the hot tub, but it wasn't warm enough yet, so they had to wait until New Year's Day. The kids enjoyed movies, pool, the hot tub, facials, foot massages, fishing, games, hikes, and food. The adults enjoyed relaxing with friends, playing Catch Phrase, hiking, fishing, laughing, and most of all eating!
It was a relaxing vacation, and I hope we make it an annual tradition. The only hitch we had was it snowed the night before we left, and we had a little trouble getting out, but we made it home safe and sound. :)
