For Father's Day, we spent a day on the lake with Grandfather, Uncle Chad, Aunt Heather, Aunt Ashley and our cousins. It was a great place to spend this day because it is Phillip's element. Phillip had a great time fishing, and the boys loved swimming in the lake. Lofton even jumped off of the top of a boat about 10 feet high into the water. We ended the day with dinner at Rudders. It was a nice way to celebrate dad
Landon lost his first tooth on Sunday, May 27. He was so excited and took his tooth to church to show everyone. He was so cute showing everyone and smiling great big.
We recently began what I hope is a new tradition. We went with our friends the Griffins and Roses to pick strawberries. Levi loved it, and didn't want to stop; Lofton kept claiming he hit the "jack pot," and Landon enjoyed it till his allergies got the best of him. I love/d the strawberries. We left with what I thought was too many, and that I'd have to freeze some so they wouldn't go to waste; however, there are just a few left. They taste so great, and we've all been eating them like candy; well, not Landon, but the rest of us love them berry much!
We had a great Memorial day on the "farm" with Julie! Quinn spent the night with us the Sunday night before Memorial day, and then we headed down South for some fun and food. The kids especially had a great time riding four wheelers, but they did not appreciate all the ticks we had to pick off of them when we got home that night. Lofton claimed he didn't want to live on a lot of land because of it.
We celebrated summer with at church with our kids Hawaiian style! They did the iimbo; we had a hoola hoop contest, and we ended with some yummy s'mores.
Once again we had a great time at our annual crawfish boil at the Griffins. It was a beautiful day to hang out with friends and eat great food! (obviously, I didn't eat any crawfish!)
Dustin and Lyndsey celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary in Nashville. We couldn't have been happier that they also wanted to spend some of their time with us. They got to come to see both boys play baseball, and we all went to dinner together at Macaroni Grill. It was so fun to have family here.
