We loaded up Julie's vehicle with 7 kids and 4 adults and headed to Destin for spring break 2013. It was great going with Julie and Matt and the kids. There was never a dull moment. The kids enjoyed playing together, and I really enjoyed spending quality time with Julie. We had a lot of fun playing on the beach, running around the wharf, riding in the golf cart, dancing in the condo, movie nights, and a little shopping! The only really unenjoyable part was letting crabby go... well at least for Quinn!
Lofton loves to help Phillip in the kitchen. THe other night he and Phillip whipped up a Mexican fiesta for us. His future wife is going to have to thank Phillip for teaching him all he knows about cooking! :)
Landon finally got his turn to bring home Happy the HOneybee. We took him on an adventure to Incredible Daves. We also shared Rice Krispie treats with his class for the letter R, and he had to decorate a cut out to look like him, which included a Bey blade, a Harry Potter scarf, a Luigi shirt, and a Cardinals hat. We had a lot of fun with all of it.
Levi has a new appreciation for Chuck E Cheese. He sees commercials and gets excited. The other morning after dropping off Landon at school, I asked Levi what he wanted to do, and he said, "Levi go Chuck E Cheese!" So, of course, I caved and we went.
“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
Dr. Seuss week is one of my favorite fun weeks of school! We as always had a lot of fun at school and at home. We read a Dr. Seuss book every night at home to celebrate. I also went to Landon's school and spoke in chapel. I read Horton Hatches an Egg and talked to the kids about patience. We made our version of green eggs and ham, too. Landon loved dressing as his favorite book character, Harry Potter, and Levi wanted to dress up too.
I wish Dr Seuss week was actually Dr. Seuss month cause there are just so many fun things you can do with it.
