Shower of Blessings

I am already blessed with wonderful friends and a terrific family, but in May I will be blessed with a "sister". Dustin is marrying Lyndsey Ritter on May 19th, and we couldn't be happier for them both. She is a wonderful girl, and we all love her. We celebrated their upcoming marriage with a shower Easter weekend.

Julie and I went to see Mary Poppins at TPac with our friends Jack and Connie. It was such a good play, but Julie and I both agreed that it is hard to sit still that long!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I made sure to sleep in something green the night before St. Patty's day cause I knew I'd get pinched if I didn't. The kids couldn't wait to pinch someone, but since we mainly just hung out with the Griffins, they didn't get a chance. See what I mean?

Spring Break 2012

For spring break, we went to Daytona to visit Grandfather and to go to Universal to visit Harry Potter! Mimi came to keep Levi, so the 10 hour road trip wouldn't turn into a 15 hour road trip. (Thanks, Mimi) The first two days in Daytona were overcast, but it didn't stop the boys. They swam and played on the beach, and the second day they got to see their buddy, Jackson, and we enjoyed lunch and a long visit at their house. Then on Monday, we went to Universal to see Harry Potter World. It was a long day of waiting,but the look on Landon's face when he got to see Harry Potter world was worth it all. Tuesday we went deep sea fishing on Creeter Fleet with Grandfather, Bo, and Kate. Lofton loved every minute of it; Landon got a little bored, and I got a little sea sick! Then on Wednesday, I got what I wanted... a day on the beach and a suntan! Phillip went fishing again, but the boys and I just relaxed on the beach, swam in the pool, and enjoyed icecream from the icecream man who was playing Christmas songs! It was such a great trip.

Dr. Seuss Week 2012

Besides PE, recess, and library, special dress up days are one of Lofton's favorite things about school. He loves Dr. Seuss week; this year, he participated in crazy hair day, vacation t-shirt day for Oh, the Places You'll Go, book character dress up day (he dressed like Malfoy from Harry Potter), and we made some special snacks.
